Gulf Coast Geospatial Center (GCGC) was established in September 2001 and became operational in late 2002. Our mission is to provide coastal geospatial information, research, and applications that will benefit the public and private sectors of the communities we serve. The GCGC operational infrastructure utilizes modern remote sensing science, technology and data in conjunction with other sources of spatial data in a geographic information management systems (GIS) environment. Our client roster includes the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), NOAA National Geodetic Survey, NOAA Coastal Services Center, Grand Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve, Mississippi Department of Marine Resources, The Nature Conservancy, and other state, federal and local agencies.
